Accessing Simply Christain's OSS weekly
updates in 2009

Change is coming to Online Sunday School(OSS) in 2009!  Early on during the development of the OSS the number one request from both parents and pastors was 'please no advertising'.  For the past six years there has been no adverstising.  Going forward there will be no adverstising on the OSS.  Did you know that most web sites are supported by the advertising dollars received from allowing advertising on a web site?  In that past the OSS has been provided free of charge for all churches, ministries, and families because of the donations Simply Christian received from friends, churches, and corporations.  We have truely been a shared ministry. 

In 2009 it appears many of us may be facing financial challenges.  Many non-profits have already seen a dramatic drop in the planned giving they expect to received in 2009.  After six years of bringing the OSS and all 52 weekly updates to every church, ministry, and family for free we must now ask that we all share in the cost of making the OSS available.  In 2009 a church wishing to make the OSS available to all its members and receive the 52 weekly updates will be asked to make a small suggested annual donation of $19.95.

As economic conditions change it is our sincere hope that we will again be able to make both the OSS and its weekly updates available to everyone for free in 2010.  Just as in 2008, during 2009, no monies received by Simply Christian will be used in the form of salaries.  We are a volunteer ministry.  All monies are used to cover the technology costs needed to both create and bring the OSS (and its updates) to you.

What if our church doesn't want the weekly updates? Beginning January 5th we will continue to offer every church, ministry, and family access to the OSS via the www.SimplyChristian.org website.  This free or public version will be full featured but will not include the weekly updates (i.e., new lesson and different activities each week).  Instead the public version will be updated periodically throughout the year.  Churches wishng to receive the weekly lessons and new activities will be asked to be part of our shared ministry by making a suggested annual donation of $19.95.
